BY THE NUMBERS Annually, it costs Georgians $148,767 to incarcerate one youth. Teen childbirths costs Georgians $91,142 annually. A high school drop-out cost Georgian $292,000.

Since 2009, no regularly participating Boys & Girls Club member has entered the juvenile justice system. No regularly participating Boys & Girls Club member has become a parent. Every regularly participating high school senior has graduated on time, with a plan for the future.

An $1,800 investment sends a child to Boys & Girls Clubs for one year and saves Georgians $530,109!


ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE PUBLIC:
Boys & Girls Clubs of the the CSRA intends to apply for a 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant for 2017. We are seeking collaborative partners to participate in this effort. We will hold a stakeholder meeting on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 4:00 pm at the Boys & Girls Clubs Administrative office at 206 Milledge Road, Augusta.
